This is my second Foodsaver. The first one worked for many, many years. It finally "gave up the ghost". And I put it through a LOT. I have a garden, and make tons of stuffed peppers to put in the freezer. I also have two smoker grills and freeze LOTS of smoked chicken, BBQ ribs, meatloaves, and ham. This stuff sure comes in handy...especially in the wintertime in Indiana! I also make a lot of casseroles, and freeze extra ones for later use, and to take to my mom who can no longer cook.
This Foodsaver works like a charm. Nice and SIMPLE! I investigated the "new and improved" upright kind. They didn't appeal to me. They're too big. And too many buttons. This one does exactly what I need it to. I hope it lasts as long as my first one did!

great for preserving food when bought in bulk from Costco. Beware of liquid in food which will be sucked out while the vacuuming.
